Terms and Conditions for Massage
Key Words:
• We, us or our means MASAJ Limited. We are registered in England and Wales under company number: 11352446.
• You or your means the person whom the massage (referred to as the ‘treatment’) relates to.
Booking and Payment:
All bookings are managed through an online booking platform, Fresha.
Clients can choose treatment type, Therapist, date and time, when available. Bookings can be made online, in person, or over the phone. Contact details must be provided for all bookings.
Clients must fill out a pre-treatment consultation form prior to every treatment regardless of visit frequency.
MASAJ does not accept cash at any point of sale. MASAJ accepts all major credit and debit cards.
Vouchers:
We operate a strict 6 month redemption period. All MASAJ vouchers must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase. We are unable to redeem or extend expired vouchers.
A single voucher cannot be redeemed across multiple appointments.
Deposit:
Clients are required to pay a deposit of 50% of the treatment value at the point of booking to secure the appointment. The deposit will be used towards the treatment cost.
If the deposit has not been received within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time the booking will be cancelled.
If you reschedule your appointment with over 48 hours notice the deposit will be transferred to the future booking.
If you reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours notice, your deposit will be retained.
Cancellation:
The following cancellation terms shall apply:
If you cancel your appointment with at least 48 hours notice your deposit will be fully refunded.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice before your scheduled appointment then MASAJ reserves the right to keep your deposit or charge you 50% of the total booking value if no deposit paid.
If you cancel with 1 hour notice or do not arrive at all, MASAJ reserves the right to charge you for the full treatment amount regardless of payment method (100% of the total booking value).
These cancellation procedures apply to cancellation for any reason, including reasons beyond your control and are in place to ensure that all of our therapists are paid for their time.
Late Arrivals and No Shows:
We advise you to arrive 10 minutes prior to your treatment. Arrivals later than half the treatment duration will be treated as a no-show.
If you arrive late to your appointment for any reason, your treatment time will be reduced in consideration of the next client.
All late arrivals will be charged the full value of the treatment regardless of payment method.
Gratuity:
100% of tips go directly to your Therapist. For Couples treatments these are split equally between the two Therapists.
Therapist Preference:
Clients can request a specific Therapist at the point of booking.
MASAJ will automatically assign therapists based on availability if no selection is made, regardless of gender.
MASAJ cannot guarantee therapist preference if a specific Therapist is not chosen at the point of booking. No refunds will be issued if no preference is communicated at least 48 hours in advance of the treatment taking place.
Pregnancy:
We only offer prenatal treatments to those in their second or third trimester. There is no time-frame for postnatal treatments.
Those clients in their first trimester should not book a treatment during that time. If a treatment is booked for a client in their first trimester, the treatment will be cancelled and the deposit refunded.
MASAJ must be informed of any pregnancies to the best of the clients knowledge at the time of booking.
MASAJ will not be held liable for any consequences in connection with a client not disclosing pregnancy to us prior to the appointment.
Health Conditions:
All health conditions and any medication must be disclosed on a client’s pre-treatment form.
MASAJ must be informed of any health conditions to the best of a client’s knowledge at the point of booking.
Age Policy:
MASAJ must be informed 48 hours prior to any appointment booked for a client under the age of 18 and written consent of a parent or guardian must be given at the time of booking.
MASAJ reserves the right to cancel any appointment if we believe it is inappropriate for any reason for us to provide treatment, including the behaviour of a minor.
Accessibility:
All MASAJ Studios accessibility info can be found in our FAQs.
Etiquette:
We ask that clients do not use mobile phones during treatments.
MASAJ and our Therapists are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items during client’s visit to the Studios.
MASAJ reserves the right to refuse treatment to any client who is physically or verbally abusive towards any of our staff- including but not limited to any inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour.
We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who is intoxicated or believed to be under the influence of non-medicated drugs.
Individual MASAJ Therapists reserve the right to refuse to perform treatments, at any point in accordance with their professional code of conduct and duty of care.
Insurance:
We are insured for the services and treatments we provide to our clients.
